"False Shelter"

I am still gradually working on the "False Shelter" series. This series explores just how fragile and unreliable the world around us is. And what seemed like a refuge protects us only in our imagination.
I capture all of this on glass plates coated with emulsion, using a 4x5 Chamonix camera and a brass lens dating from around 1870. This entire setup is fragile and strange in its own right—much like the world around us.
